Inspired by 19th century Cuban molasses eaux-de-vie characterised by their aromatic complexity, Cesar Marti, awarded the prestigious title of Primer Maestro del Ron Cubano (First Cuban Rum Master), has created this private cask specifically for Dominique London.
To create it, he has blended aguardiente, the most flavourful and complex Cuban molasses eaux-de-vie, which brings the subtlety and depth of aromas, with extra light rum, which adds vitality to the whole blend.
Made with 95% aguardiente, the final blend of aguardientes and light rum are aged for a minumum of 12 years.
Eminente finds its roots in the wild side of an island locals call 'Isla del Cocodrilo,' it's unusual shape evoking that of its native crocodile. The sensorial, textured glass and crocodile shaped island on the label are reminiscent of the fierce reptile.
Eminente is one of the few Cuban rums sold internationally to hold the coverted 'Denomiacion de Origen Protegids' or D.O.P. Ron de Cuba. Granted by the Regulatory Council, it imposes strict rules to ensure the authenticity of Cuban rum.
